Professional statement

Nikki Lutin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based out of Rye, New York. She sees a range of clients including but not limited to teenagers, college students, young adults, and new moms. She provides both teletherapy as well as in-person therapy. She has many years of experience working in both a school setting as well as a private practice setting.

Nikki enjoys working with adolescents and young adults struggling to navigate the ups and downs of life - including school pressures, social pressures, family conflict, anxiety and depression. She also has experience working with new moms struggling with mental health and life transitions.

Nikki believes the most important part of therapy is the relationship she builds with her clients. She takes the time to get to know you and to build a strong, safe and trusting relationship. She will work at your pace! She integrates many different approaches into her practice depending on what her client needs including using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness skills and tools. She is also solution focused and strengths based.

Nikki graduated from Columbia University School of Social work.

Nikki is very excited to welcome you into her office in downtown Rye or see you via teletherapy!

Message to clients

Starting therapy can be difficult for a variety of reasons. I put a very strong emphasis on immediately making you feel supported and heard. I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist – I am here for you 100% and want you to enjoy your weekly time with me. I put a high priority on creating an energetic and safe place for my clients to explore the obstacles in their lives and create positive goals for their future.

My ultimate goal is to make you feel comfortable and to be able to explore and reflect upon your life - both the good and the bad. We will work together to build a strong rapport and ultimately work toward the goals that you set forth. I am honest, a straight shooter, optimistic, empathetic and have a good sense of humor.
