Professional statement

Piper Nunez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with clients in Colorado and New York. Piper is passionate about working with individuals and couples who are carrying the emotional weight of transitions, low self esteem, relationship struggles, and attachment injuries. Piper is also intensively trained in working with individuals suffering from eating disorders, disordered eating and body image issues.

Piper is influenced by the ideas and theories surrounding early attachment patterns to create and hold a non-judgmental space for her clients to explore all the different parts of themselves. Piper's approach to therapy is also rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as psychodynamic and strengths-based practices to best meet the individual needs of her clients.

Piper believes that building a strong and trusting relationship with her clients is necessary for healing. She meets her clients exactly where they are with compassion and curiosity to help them build a deeper understanding of themselves to lead to lasting change.

Message to clients

Taking the steps to initiate therapy can feel overwhelming and maybe even scary. I am so glad you are here because you are not alone and you do not have to hold your pain by yourself. I believe in a therapeutic process that is collaborative and flexible - meeting you exactly where you are to foster meaningful growth and change. I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and honest reflection to create a non-judgmental space for self-exploration. My aim is to partner with you to identify and understand patterns in which you feel stuck, find relief from narratives that are no longer serving you, and learn how to move towards a value-driven life feeling empowered. I would love to hear from you to see if we may be a good fit.
