Sarah Barnes(She/Her/Hers)

Sarah Barnes is a Licensed Professional Counselor and sees adult clients located in Nevada and Louisiana. Sarah has worked with clients who are going through a life transition - such as the loss of a loved one, a move, or the end of a relationship - as well as clients who are experiencing that feeling of being "stuck" - whether it's in a professional or personal scenario. She especially enjoys working with caregivers and those in helping professions, such as teachers or nurses.

Often, clients dedicate time and energy toward caring for others - whether that's a child, a significant other, aging parents, or those they engage with at work - yet they may put their own wants and needs to the side. In some ways, it can even feel easier in the short term to put one's own desires on the back burner to care for another. With a combination of cognitive behavior therapy and existentialism, Sarah helps clients examine the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and take steps toward living a more fulfilling, values-aligned life.

Sarah offers counseling sessions exclusively through a telehealth modality. Telehealth has many wonderful benefits, including increased access and convenience. And, Sarah understands that it may not be the right fit for everyone and is happy to talk through benefits and drawbacks of teletherapy with prospective clients. Above all, Sarah is committed to helping every client she interacts with have access to the care they want and deserve.
