Professional statement

Shana Bloom is a holistic Licensed Mental Health Counselor licensed in Rhode Island and Telehealth licensed in Florida. She specializes in providing support to individuals who are “navigating the journey of adulthood.” With over two decades of experience, Shana has worked extensively with high school and college students, as well as those entering into the “real world.” It is her belief that everyone has their own unique way of approaching adulthood.

Many of Shana’s clients often experience heightened anxiety during their late teens, twenties, and early thirties as they embark on new paths. Whether they are moving from high school to college or a career, securing their first “real job,” reshaping their social circle, or starting a romantic relationship, life often presents a myriad of choices to people and they can feel overwhelmed with trying to make the “right decision.”

And choosing the best decision versus "the right decision" is personal and therefore an art, not a science. ❤️

Clients ask questions such as: how to have meaning and purpose in their work, establish fulfilling friendships and be with a partner who genuinely aligns with them, Shana’s intention is to offer them compassion, as they explore where to find those answers for themselves. And since life doesn't come with a personal GPS to provide direction on their journey, Shana feels she is more like a guide who listens for cues and insights, or subtle "breadcrumbs" on the path. When discovered and embraced, these precious “breadcrumbs” often pave the way to transform challenging situations into opportunities for newfound peace and calm.

Message to clients

With a blend of empathy, compassion and a sprinkle of humor, my intention is to bring forth my talents, skills, and various modalities of therapeutic training including: Gestalt, Hakomi and Solution Focussed Brief Therapy to provide you with gentle guidance, unwavering support, and practical strategies to help you uncover those elusive "breadcrumbs."

If this sounds like you, I would welcome an email and together we can explore a fresh and creative approach to nurturing your dreams either in person or virtually.

I look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best on your personal journey.❤️
