Professional statement

Suzanne Taluy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has been in the field of Mental health and Addiction for seven years, and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Suzanne enjoys connecting with people in a way that enhances personal growth while teaching them skills essential to overcome different obstacles in life. Throughout her experience in the field, trauma became a re-occurring theme, and she felt it was essential for her own personal and professional growth to become trauma-informed and work to understand its impact on a deeper level.

She received training in Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy (FFTT) through the Arizona Trauma Institute, which focuses on healing trauma through self-regulation. She is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, both approaches challenge negative thinking and help the client modify behavior through self-awareness and mindfulness techniques. Suzanne’s specialties include Anxiety disorders; PTSD, OCD, Panic disorder, and Acute stress. Mood disorders such as Depression and Bipolar Disorder, and Addiction/ Substance Abuse.

Message to clients

I consider myself to be understanding and empathetic. Someone who is interactive and loves to challenge and present new ideas. I first became interested in becoming a therapist because talking is a powerful tool; it relieves stress, releases negative energy, and helps people better problem solve. This is my mission for the clients that I work with.

I am someone who explores all areas of my client's life in order to get to the root of their problem; I am willing to work just as hard as the client as I believe a strong therapeutic alliance produces the best outcomes. I offer phone consultations as an opportunity to talk about my services and learn more about you. During our initial appointment I will conduct an intake assessment of your background and history, and from there treatment plan to start working towards your therapeutic goals.
