Dr. Brewer is a Boston-based Clinical Psychologist that specializes in working with couples, adults, and young adults. He take a relational, empathic approach to treatment that focuses on facilitating psychological and interpersonal health and wellness. His specialty areas include, but are not limited to, couples work/high conflict relationships, trauma work, interpersonal stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. In helping clients manage these difficulties Dr. Brewer works collaboratively to foster a safe and trusting space where they can effectively explore, process, and move through life's challenges. He understands that each of us have unique strengths, difficulties, identities, and life experiences. Therefore, he works with each client to tailor treatment to their individual needs so that they can reach their personal and relational goals, address concerns impacting their well-being, and move towards personal growth and healing.

Dr. Brewer has completed specialty training in couples therapy/working with high conflict couples and treating trauma. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, completed his APA-accredited internship training at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System in Honolulu, HI, and completed a postdoctoral residency at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Bedford, MA. In these settings he focused on assisting couples with building relationship health and safety and helping clients heal from traumatic life experiences. He is a certified Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Provider, which is an evidenced-based treatment for treating trauma. In addition, Dr. Brewer has worked with a wide range of diverse clientele in community mental health clinics, homeless shelters, medical settings, and group practice settings.

Dr. Brewer is currently only seeing clients remotely via telehealth.
