Professional statement

Hello and welcome! As a relational therapist, I hope to help you understand and create meaning of the struggles that you are are experiencing, as well as uncover how to make the changes that you need to in order to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

I approach individual therapy through a Narrative lens, where the client is the expert on his or her life. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and am certified in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Some of the issues that I treat are anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, stress, identity issues, and life transitions.

In addition to treating individuals, I also work with couples on issues relating to loss of connection and intimacy, infidelity, and provide separation and divorce counseling. I am certified in IMAGO couples' therapy and also use the Gottman Method when working with couples. I have also worked with many couples that are part of the LGBTQ community.

As a Collaborative Divorce coach, I work with you to help you and your partner move through the divorce process in a way that is respectful and effective at reaching your goals . Collaborative Divorce offers a multi-disciplinary team of supportive professionals that will guide you through this often difficult journey in a gentle and caring manner. It is truly the healthiest way to transition your relationship from partners to loving co-parents who put their children first.

Creating and nurturing a strong therapist-client relationship is the biggest indicator of success in therapy. I hope that we are able to build this important relationship together!
