Whitney Westmorland is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. Many of her clients are individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, or depression who find that their emotional health is affecting their professional and personal relationships. Whitney also specializes in helping clients with relationship challenges such as dating, disconnection, communication issues, infidelity, and divorce.
Whitney has an expertise in mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Yoga (TCTSY), and other mind-body work, as well as postgraduate training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and The Gottman Method of couples therapy. Whitney’s style is warm and open, and she works first and foremost to establish trust with her clients.
Whitney received her Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University, and a Bachelor's of Arts in Gender Studies & Comparative Human Development from The University of Chicago. Prior to opening her private practice, she worked at a community mental health center, at a substance use treatment clinic, and as a reproductive health researcher.
