Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

Description

In this group I will introduce the concepts behind the transformative power of Mindfulness Meditation and will provide direct experience with Mindfulness Practice. Any person interested in cultivating a practice in Mindfulness Meditation or who simply has curiosity about how Mindfulness may help them to grow a greater sense of inner peace and equanimity is welcome. This is not a therapy group but will provide participants with some introductory methods of settling the mind and slowing the cascade of unhelpful thoughts that contribute to stress and anxiety.

Phone screening will be necessary prior to the start of the group (deadline for this will be February 11, 2020). The group will start only if there are 4 people or more.
