Aaron Kaplan is a Licensed Psychologist in Waltham, Massachusetts. Dr. Kaplan works primarily with young adults and teens navigating challenging relationships, identity exploration, and individuation from family of origin. He especially enjoys working with emerging adults who are living away from home for the first time and trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of life.
Dr. Kaplan is a culturally competent therapist who has worked with clients from a wide range of races, ethnicities, and belief systems. In the therapy room, he is patient, warm, and compassionate, and takes a genuinely curious approach to learning about his clients. His style is upfront and open, and he frequently tells his clients that they're welcome to ask anything, in an effort to mitigate the power dynamic. His practice is rooted in a person-centered, humanistic approach.
Outside his work with individuals, Dr. Kaplan leads a men’s psychotherapy group and an interpersonal process group. His office is conveniently located near Brandeis and Bentley University.
