Dr. Ali is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with culturally and ethnically diverse clients who are experiencing symptoms of depression, relationship difficulties, and/or difficulties managing work/life balance. She is passionate about understanding the root causes of anxiety, depression, or other problematic behaviors to help maintain long-term stability after therapy. Dr. Ali values building a strong therapeutic relationship in order to build trust and help improve a client's relationships outside of therapy. She aims to create an environment that is safe, healing, and fosters growth.
As a former neuropsychologist, Dr. Ali has the background and expertise in understanding how the brain, along with culture and experiences, impact one's mental health. She utilizes a combination of evidenced based interventions to create a specialized approach that meets the client's needs and to promote long term stability after therapy. Dr. Ali also has extensive experience working with individuals with complex or relational trauma, experiencing life transitions, and the LGBTQIA+ population. She also enjoys working with neurodivergent populations and those who have experienced a TBI.
Dr. Ali chose the name 312 Psych Services for her practice not only to represent the city of Chicago, where she is located, but to also highlight her approach to therapy.
