Amanda Neas, LICSW is a clinical social worker and psychoanalytic psychotherapist with offices in both Concord and Boston, Massachusetts. She provides individual, couples, and group therapy. Amanda prefers to meet in-person as she feels therapy is most effective in the office but does offer a hybrid approach depending on preference.
Amanda enjoys working with teenagers, young adults, and adults who are hoping to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and what can sometimes get in the way of reaching their goals and getting what they want out of life. Amanda also enjoys working with couples who are interested in learning more about how their past experiences and relationships are impacting their current relationship and want to work collaboratively with their partner to make meaningful change. Amanda believes our early relationships and experiences often shape the way we feel about the world and those around us and it can be of great value to explore this further in therapy.
Amanda was originally trained as a social worker but has gone on to pursue advanced training in modern psychoanalysis. Amanda is currently pursuing a doctoral degree from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. She has also been involved in couples therapy training and group therapy training programs.
