Message to clients

Whether you are a teen, college student, or adult, you can expect that your treatment will begin with me listening carefully to understand your strengths, challenges, goals, and core values.

Once I have a sense of both who you are and who you want to be, I listen for the coping strategies or life lessons that you have relied on to get you where you are. Our pain can often be located in the gap between who we aspire to be and the choices we make that are in conflict with these core values. I use my 20 plus years experience and advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Theory to help you develop new life skills. Together we identify, celebrate, and reinforce your existing healthy coping skills, learn and practice new ones, and gently let go of those that are not really helping you meet your life goals.

You can expect that I will craft a therapeutic response that is unique to your needs, that I will be challenging and directive but also supportive and kind. and that if you work hard and commit to the process you will experience positive growth and change.

My greatest joy as a therapist is to see clients make progress towards their life goals.
