Professional statement

Colleen Halloran is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate located in Austin, TX. Colleen helps individuals and couples navigate challenges that are putting them in a "rut." She works with clients that are truly looking to change and clients that face problems in their relationships. Colleen helps clients assess certain patterns in their behaviors to enhance positive communication and find meaningful connection. Colleen specializes in supporting those who feel stuck in their current lives and seek ways to break out of their routines. Colleen loves helping couples and individuals "graduate" from therapy. With Colleen's help, clients will see transformation and heal from where they have been and where they are now. Ultimately, clients will learn where they truly want to be.

Colleen practices a therapy modality called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In EMDR, clients leverage their brain’s regular functions to facilitate healing, which is particularly effective for those with trauma experiences or negative coping skills. Colleen also utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches to provide clients with tangible strategies to facilitate a positive self-image. She is a compassionate, kind therapist who listens with empathy. She provides individualized mental health services, creating a treatment plan that aligns closely with each client’s unique goals.

Colleen earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She has previous experience working with couples and families, and enjoys empowering her clients to create new healthy patterns in their daily lives. Colleen helps couples and individuals learn to thrive in every aspect of their lives. She will help you connect deeply with your mental, emotional and spiritual being. This means you will finally learn to love and value yourself. As a result, you will notice enhanced and deeper connection within your relationships.
