Jane is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who provides individual psychotherapy utilizing a Christian Biblical perspective.
With 25 years of experience working in various settings, Jane is passionate about helping people find purpose-filled lives by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral counseling techniques (CBT) and Biblical Scripture. Jane will walk clients through the scriptures to discover the peace, joy, directions, answers, and secrets planted plainly in God's Word.
As a Solution Focused Therapist, working with Jane is more than just talking things out. Vowing not to misuse your time, clients have found relief from their suffering through counseling therapy! Clients will examine different avenues that were previously unexplored. You can express your thoughts and emotions without judgment, yet she will gently but directly point you in the direction you may need to focus, all while encouraging. Clients are given homework after almost every session and provided positive feedback as they practice new skills leading towards healing.
A recent client described what it was like working with Jane: "Jane exudes compassion when guiding her clients through their struggles. Using a faith-based approach, she reminds clients of the promises of God."
What is Jane's background? An Illinois native, she grew up in Naperville before attending college —graduating from Aurora University with a Bachelor's degree. After getting married, she pursued a counseling degree through the University of Illinois and received her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling. After starting in the field of addictions, working with multiple mental health concerns, including extreme anxiety & depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, she pursued a career as a school counselor at a private catholic college-preparatory high school just before opening her private practice.
