Professional statement

Jaye DeCapua, LMHC, MCAP, SAP, is a licensed therapist in Florida. Jaye provides confidential psychotherapy online, allowing sessions to be scheduled around work, school or other commitments, safely, securely, and privately.

Jaye is best known for her non-traditional approach to therapy. She thinks outside the box, and tailors her approach to therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. Instead of relying solely on one therapeutic approach, she draws from various modalities, to customize the right approach for each individual. This eclectic approach allows her to adapt to the diverse needs of her clients.

Jaye also has several certifications in addictions. Her extensive experience has enabled her to develop a personalized approach to addiction therapy, acknowledging that each individual’s path to recovery is unique. She takes a harm reduction approach to treatment, instead of judgmental or rigid abstinence -only approach. The focus is on minimizing the negative consequences of drugs/alcohol, and helping each individual make safer choices. This approach meets each client, where they are at, understanding that not everyone is ready, or can achieve complete sobriety at the same pace.

Throughout her career, she has developed the ability to listen attentively, and without bias, ensuring that her clients feel heard and understood. This empathetic and individualized approach fosters trust, and encourages open communication. She is committed to helping her clients reach their individual goals, at their own pace.

Message to clients

My approach to therapy is characterized by its individuality, and dedication to treating each person as a unique individual with their own story, and needs. I am deeply committed to helping clients find their path to recovery, and I do so with compassion, respect, and a personalized approach that acknowledges and respects their unique journey.

Additionally, I take a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing that a person’s well-being is influenced by various factors, such as physical health, environment and relationships. I encourage my clients to consider their lives from multiple angles, and work with them to discover creative ways to improve their over well-being.

My extensive experience in the field has taught me the value of flexibility and understanding, and I remain passionate about guiding individuals, towards a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life.
