She strives to be supportive and encouraging of adults and adolescents who are experiencing major life changes, such as going to college, grieving a loss, becoming a new parent, transitioning to their true self, or embracing retirement.
Jennifer is passionate about guiding and assisting clients in developing strong interpersonal relationships and healthy self-esteem. She primarily utilizes a strengths-based, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral style of therapy that encourages clients to learn mindfulness, gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts and emotions, shift their perspectives, and identify and use their strengths in order to reach their goals. Her approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and a strong belief that we all have the ability to make positive, healthy changes at any stage of life through identifying and utilizing strengths, building resilience, creating and fostering healthy support systems, and focusing on deep self love and acceptance.
Jennifer earned a certification as an advanced alcohol and drug counselor (CAADC) in 2016, and has a background in serving individuals struggling with substance use, as well as those impacted by a loved one's substance use. She also draws from her family systems graduate training to assist clients and their loved ones in rebuilding trust, connection, healthy communication practices, and compassion.
As an experienced telehealth provider, and recognizing the convenience and ease of remote therapy, Jennifer continues to exclusively offer virtual therapy at this time.
