Professional statement

Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in San Diego, California. She works with tweens, teens, young adults, parents, couples, and families to help them enjoy their lives and find resilience during life's challenges.

Kelly uses various evidence-based therapies to tailor each person's treatment to their needs. This includes cultivating strengths to build resiliency, challenging negative thought and behavior patterns, practicing acceptance and letting go, processing trauma and the emotional responses, using mindfulness and grounding techniques, identifying gratitude, and encouraging compassion toward the self and others. Therapy may include emotional education, or reflecting on life to seek a deeper understanding of experiences. She encourages clients to come prepared to sessions with items for discussion to empower their growth process. She feels that people are the experts in their own lives and partners with them to provide the fine-tuning to maximize wellness.

Kelly teaches communication skills and healthy boundaries so that people can have more successful relationships. She uses problem-solving to find solutions to daily challenges to make life easier. Kelly focuses on allowing each person to feel heard while also expanding skills for empathy of others.

Sessions are held in person in Sorrento Valley or via telehealth for anyone in California.

Message to clients

Every moment we live is precious and my goal is to help you cherish your time in this beautiful and messy life. Reaching out for help can feel vulnerable, but you are brave! If you have read this far, you are ready to take the next step. Let's work together towards a fulfilling life with deeper connections and meaning. It won't be easy, but nothing in life that is worth having comes easily. In the words of Audrey Hepburn "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"
