Ker Yang is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and licensed in California and Nevada. She has worked at Pathways under the STAY Process program in Orange County from 2016-2019 serving transitional aged youths who are struggling with severe mental illness and ran a trauma group.
Ker Yang is trained in emotionally-focused therapy, individuals and couples. She currently works with clients who are struggling with repeated unhealthy relationship dynamics, history of trauma (sexual, emotional and physical), currently in a life transition (break-up or existential crisis), fear of failure, living with an immense about of guilt/shame and intimacy issues especially with men. These are big problems to tackle on your own. Together, she will work with you to increase compassion for yourself, make clear of your wants/needs, remove barriers to achieving your wants/needs and live the life that makes you feel good.
Ker Yang has advance training in emotionally-focused therapy for couples and have completed the EFT Externship and the Core Skills Training and has received EFT individual and group supervision. She sees couples who are struggling with intimacy. The goal is to increase secure connection within your relationship by asking for you needs to be met.
The approach in session is humanistic which is connecting with you on a human level. You are the driver of your own treatment with support and guidance. Some sessions can be quite intense with big emotions and other times much lighter. What you can expect include empathy, asking evocative questions, reflecting and deepening emotions.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Perfectionism - Coping with feelings of anxiety, stress, self-criticism, and procrastination; addressing unrealistic expectations of one’s self and negatively comparing self to others
Self-esteem - Cultivating self-compassion, assertiveness, and confidence; developing ways to reduce suffering, anxiety, social withdrawal, and self-neglect
