Laura Federico

Laura Federico is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist offering online sessions to adults and parents. She specializes in holistic sex therapy, mind-body connection, and relationship concerns. After working and living in New York, Turkey, and Switzerland, Laura provides unique support and perspective to those living, working, or studying outside of the US, and has special expertise in working with humanitarian stress and the particular type of trauma that can be a part of the aid field.

Whether clients are coping with sexuality-related issues or questioning their purpose or direction, she is passionate about providing comprehensive, empowering support, and allowing clients to freely share their experiences. Laura will help to identify patterns and thoughts that are no longer working and will ask questions to illuminate unconscious beliefs and desires. Laura works frequently with those who are in non-traditional relationships and interested in kink and exploring their sexuality. Laura is LGBTQIA+/Kink/ENM/SW/TGNC affirming and uses the pronouns she/her/hers.

Laura takes a collaborative approach to therapy, drawing upon modalities that fit the needs of each unique individual. Her approaches include Holistic Sex Therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). Laura works with clients in New York and throughout Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Laura provides trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services and is committed to ongoing decolonizing work in mental health.

Laura offers HIPAA-compliant online video and voice sessions. She is dedicated to providing an open, non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship with her clients and helps them identify their true desires.
