Dr. Louise Wheeler is a clinical psychologist located in Utah and offering online psychotherapy services across 35 states. Dr. Wheeler specializes in the treatment of trauma, as well as of peripartum and postpartum mental health concerns. She works with adults who are trying to recover from traumatic experiences that are still impacting their present and pregnant individuals and new parents for whom pregnancy and childbirth brought difficult feelings and experiences. Her expertise also includes depression, anxiety, cultural issues, racial trauma, and other presenting concerns.

Dr. Wheeler believes that hope, change, and healing are possible, even when experiencing deep emotional distress. She strives to create space for her clients to understand their pain in a compassionate way, gain insight into their experience, and uncover new ways to cope. Her approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that various aspects of one's history and identity are essential to fully understand their experience. She draws from Humanistic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy, and uses diverse treatment modalities based on the needs of her clients. She is EMDR trained and has been trained by Postpartum Support International and the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute to provide care to individuals in the peripartum stages.
