Monica Edenholm(She/Her/Hers)

Monica Edenholm is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate located in Mountlake Terrace, WA. She specializes in helping clients through periods of life changes, whether that’s a change in relationship status, the growth of a family, a change in careers, or a move to a new city or state. Many of Monica’s clients begin therapy to find meaning in their lives and feel a greater sense of connection in a constantly changing world.

Monica starts each session by creating a safe environment for her clients so they feel comfortable openly talking about their feelings and their experiences. Her style is kind and empathetic, and she celebrates clients’ authenticity. She works from an antiracist, body positive, and LGBTQ affirming perspective, and is dedicated to processing through social justice topics with her clients to explore the impacts of power in their lives. Clients benefit from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems therapy for a comprehensive conversation about what’s happening internally for them.

Monica earned a Master’s degree from Seattle University. She strives to empower clients to promote healing for themselves, and to find a sense of hope in their daily lives. As a strengths-based therapist, she believes that each person has an innate resilience to draw from when they’re facing change.
