Professional statement

Natalie Gallo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Oakland, CA. Her practice is called Partners in Healing Center, and she offers individual and group sessions for teenagers, young adults, and adults. Her expertise lies in working with those who suffer from eating disorders, substance use, depression, and anxiety. Many of her clients have been negatively impacted by abuse or neglect in their childhoods, which can lead to issues with identity development, engagement with toxic relationships, and heightened stress.

Natalie begins each session by establishing a sense of safety and support. She strives to set her clients at ease so they feel comfortable talking about what’s bothering them, receiving affirmation and validation from Natalie as they do. Therapy with Natalie takes a holistic, somatic approach, meaning that clients explore their mind-body connection. Natalie practices Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which can help clients cope with distress through the use of thought-based techniques. Clients also benefit from inner child work, aiming to heal the wounds caused by experiences from their childhood.

Natalie earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She has previous professional experience working in an eating disorder treatment center, a residential addiction recovery center, and a trauma support center.
