Professional statement

Nicole Minisce is a Mental Health Associate Counselor at Silvers Psychology and Wellness in Warwick, Rhode Island. She earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Salve Regina University after completing a CACREP accredited practicum and internship. Nicole has experience providing therapy in outpatient settings. She specializes in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and perinatal mental health. She works with a range of individuals from adolescents to adults. Many of her clients seek therapy for concerns relating to general life changes, relationships, depression, phobias, anxiety, infertility, and pre/postpartum.

Her approach is rooted in Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is through the combination of these therapeutic approaches that Nicole has successfully supported clients in reframing ineffective thinking patterns, identifying connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and developing effective problem solving and decision-making skills.

Nicole is focused on ensuring that therapy is collaborative, interactive, and unique to the needs of each individual. She utilizes therapeutic tools that encourage self-reflection, compassion, and building habits to maintain healthy change. Individual appointments are offered in person or remotely via a secure video platform to those who are located in Rhode Island.

Message to clients

Positive change and healing take time, practice, and self-love. Three things that I believe are the foundation of the counseling process. I encourage you to invest in yourself and begin the journey towards a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Starting therapy can be challenging and sometimes scary, but it is in the moments when we feel the most uncomfortable that change takes place. My hope is to create a space that clients feel safe and supported to engage in the therapeutic process. Whether you have a specific goal or just needing a place to talk things out, therapy can be an amazing place to start.

My goals in practice are to be present, develop a trusting relationship, offer warmth and acceptance, and of course use some humor along the way. As your counselor, I will guide you to tune into your own wisdom and overcome the things you once thought you couldn't. I hope to work with you soon.
