Professional statement

Sandra Hass is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island. She works with adolescents, young adults, adults, parents, and families who are looking to deepen their relationships, navigate through losses, adjust to significant life changes, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Sandra’s clients are motivated and passionate individuals who have encountered stumbling blocks in achieving a flourishing life due to painful and disrupting life experiences. Many of Sandra's clients are working through recent/past losses, grief, loneliness, and separation which have had a daily negative impact on their relationships and work life. She guides clients, in an individual and unique way, through their core beliefs and world views to envision and achieve a balanced and fulfilled life.

Sandra provides in-person or virtual services to accommodate the preferences and availability of her clients. Contact Sandra today to schedule your initial consultation session and begin your journey toward healing.

Message to clients

Hello. My name is Sandra Haas. I am an Independently Licensed Therapist for over 35 years. I received a master’s degree in social work from Rhode Island College in 1987. My specialties include Geriatrics, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Couple therapy, Family work, Chronic Pain and Illness, and Grief counseling. I am certified in grief counseling, EFIT with individuals, couples and families and Grief Movement. The settings I have worked in include office and telehealth-based therapy, hospitals, nursing homes and home-based therapy. My work has included Grief support groups and Intensive Outpatient programs to address people with Substance challenges. Due to my years of experience, I do not use any one approach. I see each situation on an individual basis and help the client to learn tools to enhance their natural strengths. I am a Trauma Informed therapist using techniques that are compassionate and caring without judgment. Also, I bring Holistic approach to my work where I interact with each person Biologically, Psychologically, and Spiritually. I see myself as a guide and work with all my clients from a strength -based perspective. I make myself available to my clients to offer support and coaching. My philosophy is meeting people wherever they are in a collaborative and respectful manner. It is my privilege that I am now a part of this practice which shares this philosophy. My greatest honor is to work with clients through their journey and see them rediscover their strengths and use them to meet their goals and dreams.
