Professional statement

Sergio Perez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in Florida and Colorado in a group practice, Mosaic Minds Counseling. His treatment focus is on anxiety, depression, attachment, and ADHD. He received his MEd/EdS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. He also has experience as a leader in the counseling community, as president of the honor society of graduate student level counselors.

He focuses on person-centered techniques, with a warm, empathetic, and accepting approach. He is non-structured, allowing you to bring what you need to during the session and allowing space for hearing whatever it is that we need to release. He believes that everyone inherently has what they need inside of them to gain what they need in life and he helps clients reconnect with their strengths to find those answers.

He does remote sessions for individuals located in Florida and Colorado. He has morning, afternoon and evening availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for sessions.

Many of his sessions are working with college-aged young adults and children/adolescents. He also has experience with relationship and family dynamics and those identifying as male, female, non-binary.

Message to clients

I believe everyone has within them the capacity to grow and heal, but sometimes we feel like we are stuck in a rut and keeping repeating the same patterns. I help clients get in touch with their strengths and move past what is blocking them to get them to that place of growth and healing.

I am typically non-structured in my approach with working with clients and let whatever needs to come up, come up. I have a gentle, warm, and empathetic presence.

However, if we work together ADHD or you would like more direct CBT interventions, I am able to do this as well.
