Professional statement

Tina Miller is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist located in Lacey, WA who works with people of all ages, including couples and families. She specializes in helping people through the mental health impacts that come with certain identities, acknowledging the unique experiences of that come with being a man, woman, or veteran. Many of Tina’s clients want to explore how their family history influences their well-being, particularly when facing conflict with family members, partners, or children. 

 

Tina’s aim is to provide her clients with the life skills they need to overcome life’s challenges, so she teaches clients coping strategies and ways to better communicate with the people around them. She draws from several therapy approaches to best support each client and is a collaborative and kind therapist who values client input in the direction of sessions. Clients learn how to understand complex emotions and to see how their emotions impact their daily lives and their relationships. 

 

Tina earned a Master’s degree in Psychology with a Counseling specialization from Saybrook University. Her background is in family crisis, and she has experience working with military families. She enjoys working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, especially in the family context.
