Description
This is a 6 week structured group specifically for folks who are learning that they are Neurodivergent as adults and will include Expressive Arts activities and discussion. Topics of discussion will include reflections on childhood and adolescence, learning to cope with struggles, relationships, self acceptance and more.
All participants will also get a digital copy of a work book with additional questions for reflection and creative prompts.

Group Therapist
Annalise Hammerlund is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Wyoming, MI. Annalise specializes in helping clients to express themselves not only through words, but also art, movement, dance, storytelling, and more. She is an Expressive Arts Therapist who works with children and adults. Many of her clients seek therapy to find strategies around ADHD, Autism, or mood disorders like anxiety and depression.
Annalise’s approach to therapy draws from therapy modalities like art therapy, dance movement therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness-based practices, Health at Every Size, and trauma-informed practice. She understands that sometimes, it’s difficult to talk about one’s emotions. However, even without words, it’s often helpful to express those feelings through other mediums. Annalise also helps clients better understand their internal thought patterns, their motivation to make healthy changes in their lives, and their daily attentional patterns.
Annalise earned a Master’s degree from Lesley University. She enjoys supporting clients through their own personal complexities and empowering them to better understand their mental health. By giving them different tools for self-expression, Annalise equips her clients to handle any challenging emotions that arise.
