Description
We are looking for individuals with past trauma who are between the ages of 18 (post high school) and 50. The age groups will be split into 18-25 and 25-50. Topics that will be covered are: psychoeducation about trauma; triggers, symptoms, and coping strategies; the impact of your trauma; guilt and shame; and establishing safety and trust.
Group Therapist
Celia Morgan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. Celia also has specific training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She works primarily with older teenagers, adults, couples, and families. Celia has expertise in helping her clients manage and work on symptoms such as trouble sleeping, anxiety, depression, or stress in their relationships. She also helps her clients work through big life changes such as going to college, moving to a new city, getting married, or going through a divorce or break up.
Celia utilizes an interpersonal and narrative approach in therapy, which allows her clients to share their story, and through the process, a chance to redefine their story. She helps her clients work through life’s challenges by taking a look at the things that are bothering them right now, and connecting the dots between their personal history and the present day. Celia believes this process can give her clients a better understanding of themselves, and therefore, the power to make different choices and have new experiences.
Celia is very intentional and passionate about creating a safe, and trusted space for her clients so that they can feel seen and heard when in her office. She works from the perspective that her clients are the experts in their lives, and her role is to help them discover their strengths in order to facilitate positive growth.
