Clinton Scheidt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy located in Long Beach, CA. Clinton specializes in supporting clients who identify as LGBTQ. Many of his clients seek therapy to learn how to regulate their emotions, to process through traumatic experiences including those that may accompany coming out, and to deepen their relationships with themselves and others. Clinton also works closely with individuals who suffer from mental health conditions like depression or anxiety, as well as those who would like help with sexual dysfunction.



Clinton’s approach to therapy begins by creating an atmosphere that feels nonjudgmental, affirming, and safe. He builds rapport with each one of his clients to offer them a trusting, therapeutic relationship. From this relationship, he then teaches clients coping skills to help in moments of distress. Clinton brings an attachment-based framework into conversations, encouraging clients to explore the major relationships in their lives and the lessons they learned about what it means to connect with others.



Clinton earned a Master’s degree from Pepperdine University and has worked across a wide range of settings. His goal is to help clients better understand themselves and their lives, especially after the difficulties that come with identifying as LGBTQ. He is passionate about empowering clients to build healthy relationships and to live intentionally and with self-compassion.
