Linda Lauretta is a licensed clinical social worker and mindfulness guide. Her work with clients focuses on helping individuals (18 and up) identify their needs, hopes and dreams and then set a clear course on how to realize their goals. Using the tools of self exploration through meditation, insight oriented counseling, body centered self awareness building and developmental psychology, Linda walks alongside her clients on their journey to understand their past and make new decisions for their future. Emphasis is placed on creating a safe, compassionate and nurturing space from which clients feel comfortable and inspired to grow and flourish.
Linda most often works with adults in their late 20's to 60's who are approaching life stage transitions such as relationship changes, career decisions, altered health or body image and relocation. As these and other changes increase stress, coping skills and anxiety management are an essential part of treatment. Many clients are attracted to the mindful and self awareness approach after their initial experiences with therapy.
Along with Linda's academic degrees, she has studied Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy in India and New York City and incorporates this holistic training with traditional psychotherapy for a well rounded approach. She has led meditation workshops, international peace dialogue groups and instructor development training. Having lived, studied and presented abroad, she brings cultural and spiritual sensitivity to her work.
