Group Therapist

M. Kim O'Connor & Associates is a family-focused psychotherapy practice in Rye, New York. We work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families and offer in-person and telehealth appointments.

We work with clients with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD (including executive functioning skill-building), Autism, and trauma. We are particularly passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, maternal and paternal mental health, parenting challenges, and working with emerging adults (HS to college and college to beyond) and with the LGBTQ+ community.

We are trained in multiple evidence-based therapies including CBT, EMDR, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Parent Management Training, and Mindfulness-Informed Psychotherapy. We collaborate with our clients to determine the kind of therapy that supports their being able to live a more embodied, gratifying life.

Therapy is a process of learning more deeply about one’s self and in that process discovering new healthier, more responsive ways of relating to ourselves and others. We believe it's incredibly important to work from a non-judgmental place of compassion because the work can be hard and we know how important it is that a client feels safe and understood. We are honored to be chosen as a partner on this journey.
