Professional statement

Dr. Busch takes care of patients of all ages and focused on college students and young adults. She believes that everyone has a unique journey in this life and individualized plans offer the best kind of help. For this reason, Dr. Busch gathers information about your medical, social, and mental health history in our first visit. Then together, you will work with Dr. Busch to co-create and individualized treatment just for you! This plan may include recommendations for lifestyle changes, therapy, and/or medication support.

With adult psychiatry residency training from the University of Chicago and child psychiatry training Harvard's Boston Children's Hospital, Dr. Busch has received a well-rounded education in mental health care. She has been in private practice since 2020 and offers different types of therapies. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can be helpful for those exploring the impact of the past on the present. Dr. Busch has trained in a number of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) which are very helpful for treating of anxiety, OCD, depression, insomnia, and many other conditions.

In addition to therapy, Dr. Busch is able to prescribe medications that help with common mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. Some patients see her for both therapy and medications while others see her for medication support alone. She works very hard to respect patient preferences and only prescribes the smallest amount of medications that is necessary for relief. With appropriate diagnosis, Dr. Busch is able prescribe common medications for ADHD for those living near Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.

All care is delivered via tele-health to patients living in Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington D.C. with limited in-person availability in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.

Message to clients

You have made it college or your new job and are finding things to be very hard! It's is not what you expected. Not connecting with friends or co-workers. So much worry or unexpected sadness. You know you're much more capable than your current grades or performance evaluations reflect. This is very surprising because you have previously been very successful.

You are not sure if it's you or the place and wonder if things can get better?

Together we will explore options that fit you - and there are many. I have a gentle approach and do not force medication but I will be honest with you if I feel like they can be helpful.

I work very hard to make my patients feel supported and cared for. I would be happy to help you figure out how to move forward!
