Psychiatrist, MDDaniel J. Manfra, MD, is a clinical and forensic psychiatrist located in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his psychiatry residency at Brown University/Butler Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He currently teaches at Brown University's Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Previously, he was in-house psychiatrist at Johnson & Wales University.
Dr. Manfra optimizes care with evidence-based medication when appropriate, as well as utilizing different forms of tailored talk therapy. He also collaborates with any existing treatment team to ensure seamless care. He is experienced in treating adolescents, young adults and adults of all ages, as well as families and couples. He specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression and OCD; managing work, school and life stress; issues with attention; difficulties in relationships; traumatic experiences; complex medical and psychiatric conditions, as well as severe mental illness.
