Dr. Thomas Finch is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He focuses on treating the whole individual, and he offers talk therapy and, when helpful, medication, to optimally meet a patient's specific needs. As a psychiatrist, he has expertise in the treatment of mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders like panic disorder and OCD, and ADHD. As a therapist, he has experience working with individuals with self-esteem difficulties, relationship struggles, work related stress, phase of life challenges, and other psychological and emotional difficulties.
Dr. Finch provides initial and second opinion consultations, as well as ongoing medication management, psychotherapy, and combined medication management and psychotherapy. He earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his residency in adult psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell. He also holds a masters degree in medical anthropology from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from Columbia University. He currently serves on the faculty at NYU School of Medicine, where he has worked in various hospital settings and also supervises and teaches residents and medical students.
