Alison is a board certified, registered, licensed Creative Arts Therapist for the State of New York. Alison has experience working with individuals, couples, families, teens, and children. She has successfully treated individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, complex grief, life transitions, career changes, and family issues. Alison utilizes an individualized holistic strength-based approach. Alison holds a Master's Degree in Professional Studies in Art Therapy, and Creative Development from Pratt Institute Graduate School of Art and Design, Brooklyn, NY.

Alison provides a warm, welcoming, safe and professional environment for each of her clients. Alison works collaboratively finding what works best for each client, based on personality, and life experiences. . Alison has postgraduate training in a variety of modalities, DBT, CBT, Creative Arts Therapy, Authentic Movement, and Gottman Method.

Couples counseling - Addressing relationship challenges and life transitions; strengthening communication and feelings of security, desire, connection, and love

Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
