Ann Taylor is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional in the state of Florida. She has more than 10 years of experience providing clinical assessments and therapeutic care to adult male inmates within the Florida Department of Corrections who suffer from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, trauma, and self-injurious behaviors. She also has 13 years of experience providing substance abuse counseling to adults with DUI convictions, pain management issues, and alcohol or drug abuse and dependence.
Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Memphis and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapeutic approaches, and maintains flexibility, inspiration, and resourcefulness to meet the unique needs of her clients. Ann strives to build a warm, honest, caring, and supportive therapeutic relationship that helps clients recognize and develop their strengths. She works collaboratively with clients to provide lifelong skills that support personal growth, help achieve their goals, and empower them to live the meaningful lives they desire.
