Dr. Basha Silver is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Silver Therapy Group, a team of dedicated psychologists practicing on the Upper West Side in New York City, providing both in-person and remote sessions.
Dr. Silver's approach is warm, interactive, and actionable, with an emphasis on helping her patients make tangible changes in the present, while also synthesizing the impact of the past. Dr. Silver specializes in working with individuals through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Silver is a New York City native and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive Therapy for Women, where she received advanced training in women’s mental health and reproductive mental health. In addition to maintaining a private practice, she also provides clinical supervision to doctoral students at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and runs a support group for predoctoral interns at Kings County Hospital. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, and swimming in the ocean.
