Professional statement

Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with high achieving teens, adults, couples and their families looking for more than a “good listener”. Many of Brittany’s clients seek her services to help navigate life changes, relationships, or emotional challenges. Other concerns commonly addressed in sessions include stress, anxiety, depression, career coaching, ADHD, anger, identity, parenthood, and perfectionism.

Brittany’s style is relatable, warm, and dynamic, and she is dedicated to fostering an open and collaborative relationship with her clients. Brittany focuses on the concerns you want to address while identifying and allowing the broader themes and context of your life to guide your treatment. This approach supports clients in building authenticity, balance, and concrete skills to utilize outside of therapy to manage life in a new and unique way. She welcomes and thrives off ongoing feedback, ensuring the client’s needs are being met throughout the therapeutic process.

As an integrative therapist, Brittany draws from different modalities to create individualized treatment plans for each client. Brittany has received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focus Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Gottman Method, Solution Focused Therapy, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), and Strength Based Therapy.

Brittany received her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in mental health. She received training through her prior tenure at highly respected clinical institutions, including the University of Texas Psychiatry Department, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Behavioral Health Services in Houston, TX. Outside of private practice, Brittany loves being active, exploring, and spending time with her family.

Brittany offers psychotherapy in-person and telehealth in the Northshore area of Chicago, IL and in Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas via telehealth.

Message to clients

I believe therapy is a place for you to express yourself freely and honestly, examine how your story impacts you today, build insights into your thoughts and behaviors, and explore new skills to bring about your desired changes in life. I do not believe in the “one shoe fits all” approach to therapy. Everyone’s story is different, and skills or techniques that work for one person will not work for everyone. My goal is to provide you with a safe space, free from judgment, where you can be yourself and collaborate with an expert to better yourself, your family, your relationships and your professional life in a way that works for you.

I consider my style to be relatable and casual-- but professional. I strive to be an active sounding board and to challenge my clients in a healthy and supportive way as we develop our relationship. You will find empathy, vulnerability, and honest feedback (going both ways) woven throughout the therapeutic process with me. These values ultimately help me and my clients (whether they are individuals, couples or families) creatively identify goals and explore practical solutions. My hope is that my clients walk away from therapy feeling as if they have the tools and self love to troubleshoot the things life throws at them and thrive in ways the did not feel they could before.
