Professional statement

Dr. Adamo is a licensed clinical psychologist in Philadelphia. His clinical focus is using evidence-based practices and technology-driven tools to deliver the highest quality care when and where clients need it most.

As a Jimini Health therapist, Dr. Adamo specializes in providing continuous care via messaging-based therapy that is supported by teletherapy sessions conducted via video or phone.

Research has shown that helping people develop and utilize coping skills outside of a traditional therapy session is an extremely powerful way to help them feel better faster. In particular, a combination of messaging-based therapy, live sessions, and personalized exercises delivered using clinical best practices can be highly effective in helping individuals reach their therapeutic goals. Jimini’s clinical and scientific team has done pioneering work in this, and we are excited to offer this to our clients.

In our practice, Dr. Adamo practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients learn coping skills and strategies to understand the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is considered the “gold standard of psychotherapy”. It is the most well researched and has been proven to help clients cope with anxiety.
