In order to do so, Carmen makes sure to attend workshops, trainings and conferences related to the treatment of Depression, Anxiety and Stress. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and various Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques. Carmen is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional.

Carmen also has a special interest in and commitment to working with First Responders and Caregivers of People with Special Needs. Carmen finds that often First Responders and Special Needs Caregivers feel alone in their struggles and find that others have difficulty understanding their particular needs. These are people who often put the needs of others before their own and may find it difficult to be the one who is being helped. But the truth is, everyone needs help and Carmen wants to provide a safe, judgement free and comfortable space where putting yourself first is not only ok but a priority.
