Cassie Daly is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker based in Rhode Island. She works with adults of any age who are looking to cultivate positive change. Many of the individuals Cassie works with experience anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, stress, and overwhelm in their daily lives. Cassie provides a gentle, affirming space to explore these concerns while practicing coping skills and alternative frameworks to support growth.
Cassie is especially passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing major transitions - such as seeking higher education, experiencing divorce, coming out to friends and family, entering retirement, processing grief and loss, or becoming a new parent. While change can be daunting, it often also offers individuals the opportunity to reflect on their responses to challenging situations and to better understand their needs and beliefs. As a trauma-informed therapist, Cassie supports clients in identifying their own pace in their therapeutic journey in order to best encourage healing.
Through open, respectful dialogue, Cassie aims to develop a safe, compassionate therapeutic relationship where clients can explore how past experiences may be informing present expectations and to process and regulate painful or uncomfortable feelings. Together, Cassie and her clients acknowledge real-world barriers that complicate desired results and cultivate practices that promote a better sense of contentment, peace, and empowerment.
Cassie’s therapeutic approach combines evidence-based, solution-focused methods, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness and somatic practices. Cassie has provided clinical care in a variety of settings, including community mental health, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and residential treatment. Cassie also has a background in literature and ethnographic folklore with a previous career in Higher Education.
Cassie offers the convenience of telehealth sessions and welcomes new clients to her online practice.
