Christine Falconer is an LCSW in Northern California. She works with individuals, couples and polyamorous partners as they navigate their sexuality, kinks, and/or consensual non-monogamy. Many of Christine's clients come in when they are beginning to open up their relationship, adding someone new to the polycule, struggling with maintaining healthy relationships or struggling with their sexuality. Christine is particularly passionate about serving people who were raised in a high demand religion, whether they are looking to overcome shame related to sex, explore their own sexuality, or leave monogamy behind. She is also a certified sex therapist.
Christine is a strengths based and solutions-focused therapist, meaning she helps clients focus on what is already working and building on current skills while developing new ones. This approach supports clients to achieve their goals and develop healthy strategies without necessarily starting at square one.
Christine's style is genuine, straight forward and humorous. When a client first comes in, she spends the first session building rapport and trust while validating the client's experiences. Christine is dedicated to providing a relationship that is authentic.
Christine received her MSW from the University of Denver, is a certified sex therapist through AASECT and is currently working on her doctorate in clinical sexology. She gained experience in community mental health and later worked as an outpatient therapist for LDS Family Services before opening her boutique private practice. Outside of private practice, she enjoys sampling the wines of Northern California, spending time with her partners, and enjoying her adult children.
