Dr. Clara Fajardo sees couples and individuals for psychotherapy. She also completes personality testing and neuropsychology screening. In her psychotherapy practice, Dr. Fajardo works from an integrative orientation, incorporating the latest research on effective psychotherapy with developmental, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and some cognitive-behavioral therapy. This is dependent upon the client's issues, style of thinking, and therapy goals. Dr. Fajardo is also trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, one of the few evidence-based psychotherapies for couples.
Dr. Fajardo attended The University of Denver for her doctorate, completed her Internship at McLean Hospital (affiliated with Harvard University) and South Shore Mental Health in Boston, and received additional training at an APA-accredited postdoctoral Fellowship at The Durham VA Medical Center (affiliated with Duke University) in North Carolina.
