Dr. Aboyoun's interest in human behavior started in early childhood when his parents read Aesop's fables as his bedtime ritual. His curiosity persisted and evolved over time, eventually resulting in his reading dated psychology textbooks from his high school library. He subsequently majored in psychology at the University of Scranton with the goal of becoming a psychologist. After he was graduated from the University in 1993, Dr. Aboyoun attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. After a protracted period of time taking extra courses and practica, he finally earned his doctoral degree and master of arts in clinical psychology with a specialization in psychotherapy from Georgia State University in 2001. He is licensed in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania, currently practicing in Easton, PA. Dr. Aboyoun has a breadth of clinical training ranging from acceptance & commitment therapy to psychodynamic psychotherapy. Recently, he became a certified sex therapist (CST) through AASECT.
