Dr. Kesselman’s practice is located at the Westborough Office Park (junction of 495 and route 9) in Westborough, MA. He welcomes adolescents (ages 18+) and adults who are seeking strategies to better address psychological, physical and emotional distress associated with anxiety or stress. Stress and anxiety also impact muscle tension, stomach complaints, headaches, sleep problems or fatigue.

Many of our clients have experienced challenging work or family circumstances; high pressure academic or athletic performance; other major life changes; or more severe traumatic events. Dr. Kesselman has a particular interest in working with clients who have medical diagnoses such as headaches, jaw pain, hypertension, Raynaud’s disease, tinnitus, IBS and chronic pain. He offers practical, interactive and engaging treatment focusing both on psychological and physical impacts. Treatment often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Biofeedback, and the use of Virtual Reality.

Dr. Kesselman has held senior clinical and leadership positions at Lifestance Health and UMASS/Health Alliance Hospital. He held the faculty rank of Instructor at UMASS Medical School where he trained medical students, residents and psychology/clinical social work students on psychological factors and treatment approaches associated with psychiatric and medical diagnoses. Message to clients

For over 20 years I have helped clients become more resilient and psychologically strong. I focus on how anxiety and stress impact both our thinking and physical well being. Our goal is to strengthen our cognitive flexibility and emotional regulation while lessening our physical discomfort. These strategies may allow for a more enjoyable, creative, comfortable and relaxed life.

I offer a practical and scientifically validated approach to treatment. In addition to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), I often introduce innovative technologies, such as biofeedback and virtual reality to make the therapy more interactive, fun and engaging. This method provides us the opportunity to consider the impact of thought, environmental stressors, lifestyle, coping responses, and their interplay with your physical health. Clients enjoy this experience and report feeling better in an amount of shorter time and with sustained outcomes. Innovative ways to help clients are constantly being evaluated.
