Professional statement

Living with ever present anxiety and stress is distressing and disruptive. Attempting to suppress or avoid these feelings and thoughts may seem effective, but over time they are often experienced as worry, panic, feeling overwhelmed, poor concentration and irritability. These symptoms often interfere with relationships, work, school, or athletic/artistic performance. If this sounds familiar to you, please contact me. I offer sessions in-person at my office in Westborough, MA or virtually. It would be my privilege to help you.

Message to clients

For over 20 years I have helped clients become more resilient and psychologically flexible. My goal is to help clients strengthen their emotional self regulation, concentration and problem solving, while promoting creative and healthy thinking.

I offer a practical and scientifically validated approach to treatment. Initially, I often focus on a client's biology by helping them "find their zone. " This allows for a fully involved, engaged, focused and committed emotional state preparing the client to be at their best when addressing stressful circumstances. This is followed by the introduction of cognitive strategies to promote creative, flexible and adaptive thinking.

In addition to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), I often introduce innovative technologies, such as biofeedback and virtual reality, to make the therapy more interactive and immersive. Clients enjoy this experience and report feeling better in a shorter time and with sustained outcomes. Innovative ways to help clients are constantly being evaluated.
