Elizabeth Fulton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Elizabeth works with clients from both states virtually and has an office in Denver for in-person sessions, where she welcomes individual adults who are seeking change and healing in their lives.
Elizabeth completed her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University and her Bachelor of Arts in international relations at Boston University. She thought she wanted to work in government and do something overseas. After moving to South Africa for a number of years, Elizabeth stumbled upon therapy as a client. She went through a time in her own life where she felt lost, anxious, and depressed and wasn’t sure how to navigate that. Elizabeth found a wonderful therapist, and as they say, the rest is history. She found hope, healing, inspiration, and empowerment; and little did she know at the time, her perfect career-match.
Many of Elizabeth’s clients come in to address the effects of trauma or anxiety; to navigate life changes or cultural adjustments; to receive career counseling; to process and navigate spiritual questioning or confusion; or to improve self-esteem. Additionally, Elizabeth is trained in working with issues of grief and loss, eating disorders, depression, communication skills, and relationship challenges. Elizabeth enjoys working with clients who are willing and ready to think, feel, and challenge themselves; or who want to improve their emotional vocabulary and communication skills.
After working with Elizabeth, clients will walk away feeling supported, heard, and encouraged, as well as having received practical skills and tools to use in their everyday lives. When not working with clients, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons.
