Erin Lehmann is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Boston, MA who works with individuals and couples. Erin primarily utilizes evidence-based therapies, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and Metacognitive-Based Therapy (MCT). She helps her clients become more aware of negative thought patterns and learn how to gain better control over these thoughts.

When working with couples, Erin focuses on attachment styles and how each individual’s childhood has impacted how they view relationships. She helps couples better understand each other’s strengths and values.

Erin’s approach is flexible, collaborative, and extremely supportive using a strengths-based perspective in an empathic and non-judgmental environment. Before starting her private practice, she worked in community mental health with a diverse clientele facing adversity, trauma and loss.

Whether you are battling depression, struggling with anxiety, going through a painful loss or need someone to ‘just listen,’ I provide an environment where you feel valued and heard while offering encouragement, support and some objective–yet caring feedback. You have all the tools you need to achieve your goals; my role is to help you rediscover those tools and your own personal gift of insight.


Mindfulness - Practices to encourage a state of active, open attention on the present

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Relationships - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Perfectionism - Coping with feelings of anxiety, stress, self-criticism, and procrastination; addressing unrealistic expectations of one’s self and negatively comparing self to others
