Professional statement

Felicia Ivey-Toure is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with offices in the Kew Gardens and Glendale neighborhoods of Queens. She works with many clients with a history of mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse and work related concerns. She has specific training in working with clients who have experienced trauma as members of the military, police officers, or firefighters, but she also supports clients who have trauma regarding sexual abuse/assault and domestic violence.

Felicia takes a person-centered and eclectic approach to treatment, including solution-focused and skills-based approaches. Her treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Family Systems, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Felicia spends time getting to know her clients and identifying their most pressing issues, so she can work with them to reduce their distress and improve their symptoms.

Felicia offers a safe space for clients to heal and get the help they deserve. In addition, she offers a list of clinics and other affordable community resources for individuals who may need extra support. Her Kew Gardens office is conveniently located near the Union Turnpike - Kew Gardens subway station and Kew Gardens Long Island Railroad Station.
