Fredrika Stjärne is a Licensed Psychoanalyst in Greenwich Village, New York with expertise working with anxiety, depression, loss and grief, substance use, relationships and professionals navigating creative blocks. Drawing from personal experience as a photographer and over a decade working in a corporate environment, she understands the importance of helping individuals connect to their creative selves and uncover their full potential.

As a graduate of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, Fredrika's practice is grounded in psychoanalytic therapy. She works closely with her clients to explore complex underlying patterns, understand obstacles, and empower them to lead the lives they desire.

Fredrika welcomes teenagers and adults of all ages to her practice, and she offers sessions in both English and Swedish. Her practice is located in Greenwich Village, nearby the 14th Street Union Square and 14th Street metro stations.


Message to clients

To know oneself is not easy. Therapy is a way to understand what acts as triggers or obstacles to live life closer to the way you want to, have the relationship you long for, figure out what you really want, and gain a sense of freedom and agency to make decisions that can forge a path you feel is your own.

Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others

Premarital counseling - Providing a safe and neutral environment for couples to explore expectations and prepare for the rewards and challenges of marriage
